A New Haven For New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week, the trend extravaganza, run by IMG Worldwide Inc, will have a new venue to celebrate its much anticipated fashion week, an event that generates for the city of New York nearly $900 million dollars a year and lost its five-year license on Lincoln Center after being accused of misusing Damrosch Park, where trees and perennial plantings were removed. After a series of conversations with designers, show producers, journalists and partners, IMG confirmed the move downtown into two unique spaces, Skylight at Moynihan Station and Skylight Clarkson Sq., both venues from the Skylight Group. An increasing number of designers already hold their catwalk shows away from Lincoln Center, selecting hotels, restaurants and other prominent buildings dotted across Manhattan. The spring/summer 2016 edition of Fashion Week will be held from September 10-17, IMG said.

Fashion runways will be galore so to all you clothingnistas click your heels three times, there’s no place like fashion week there’s no place like…
